Looks like you had tone of fun! I presume you went in the Cafe at Goathland Station? I love it in there!

Great pics!  The first viaduct is, I think, Ribblesdale viaduct on the settle and carlise line.  The second one is ingelton viaduct in the town of ingelton.  It carried the Ingelton Branch of the little north western railway.  Despite it being called a branch, it was really a cross country railway, providing a rail link from skipton to the west coast main line just south of Tebay, providing a direct route from leeds to carlise.  However, the 2 operating compaines, the midland and the London and North western, were always aurguing over the line, and resulted in the midland building the settle to carlise railway to bypass ingelton.  The result was that the ingleton line was hardly used, and was soon closed when BR took over.

Looks like you've really enjoyed yourself in Yorkshire. Being a yorkshire native also, i'm not remotely surprised! I'va also been to most of the locations photographed, with the exception of the 'Grand Designs' house. Can't beat a bit of grand designs... gives you something to dream of one day when you've got lots of money!!

As for the first viaduct, it is indeed on the Settle to Carlisle line as Matt suggests, but I believe its accurate name is the 'Ribblehead Viaduct'.

How long have you got left? Where is left on your itinary?

It's unbelivable the SVR isn't running at the mo, it's still the school holidays! We have trains 7 days a week on the FfR & WHRs.

Not everywhere - it's all a bit messed up this year because Easter was so early. I was looking to see if anywhere local was open on Monday - Chinnor, Leighton Buzzard, Quainton and Ruislip Lido were all closed!

More great videos Graham. Thanks for letting us see them.

I must admit that I prefer not to have embedded videos, as you can let it load in another browser, and then view later. Gives you the time to go through the rest of the posting as well.

Great vid of Ratty Graham. Makes me wish trains ran up the coast line on a Sunday because I'd love to go for a trip up there tomorrow!

I noticed that. I thought I had just clicked in the bar along the bottom and it had gone back to that point in the video!
