many years ago, I was rattling through "Cockcrow Hill" station riding shotgun on a freight train pulled by my predecessor on my Stanier 5MT.  We went through "7 points" and as we did so, a tanker got caught in the crossing nose.  The entire of the rear of the train jack knifed (which was impressive as its heavy 7 1/4" stuff) and the poor tankers buffer beam was wrenched out, bumping along behind the rest of the train!

We ended up towing it back by coupling it to the back of the train.  The tankers owner was less than impressed!
