Curved Resin Roofs

Post by Narrow Minded » Sat May 29, 2010 12:02 am

I've got two buildings (both Modeltown btw) with curved roofs on the W&LLR, the water tower and a lineside hut.
They both live outdoors all year round.
Both are suffering from a flattening out of the roof, despite the fact that I construct them with two part epoxy and when that's dried, I seal all the joints with two part car body filler!!

I'm going to have to take them off and either curve them again by softening them in warm water or (more likely) replace them with bits of bean can.

Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to prevent it?

It hasn't happened to any of the Andel rolling stock (yet), but worth keeping an eye on them if they're out for any length of time :D

I have a stock of pre-rusted tin cans, if that's any use..............
