If the mamod hadnt been impounded by BNFL and I wasent in jail for stealing weapons of mass destruction, yeah.
Maybe I could use the plutonium to generate the neccasery 1.21 Jigawatts neede to power a flux capacitor however.

Yeah, why does the rest of the world think we should all be locked away in a madhouse? To me, fishing is a bit odd (how's sitting around in the rain by a river waiting for a fish to commit suicide for your benifit enjoyable?). I think my mum sometimes wishes I'd chosen a less expensive hobby (she's probely regretting taking me to the welsh narrow gauge railways when I was 1). And she's still not letting me buy an edrig untill I've saved up.

WHY? She's just let my brother spend more money than he's got on a car he'll probely smash up as sone as he learns how to drive.

Matt Ive said it time and time again. Its your money, just buy the dear. Whats the worst that could happen?

Well the problem is that I'm a christian, and in the bible one of the ten commandments is 'respect your parents'.

That, and my mum goes ballistic when I do something she really didn't want me to do.

Thats really not nice, surely by now its wrong for your mum to be effectivly keeping YOUR money off you :(
At around quater to six today, the end of the Afonglas and Nant Llywyd Railways carrige construction program came :D with the completion of the buffet car :D 8)
In 2 years I have scratchbuilt 2 rakes of 4 carriages (or one train of 8  ) spending a whole lot less than if id got them all as kits. Thing is what do I do now on my evenings? :( :?

Well the reason for her vitully keeping my money is that she say's that I'll need it in about 2 years time to buy a car.

I think I see what her motive is-its the reason my mum wants me to get a car reasonably soon. She wants you to drive her around! (and I know that you don't want to buy a car from another post)

What a depressing sign of the times if parents are now automatically assuming we'll need cars as soon as we turn seventeen...have they never heard of public transport? If you'd rather have an Edrig that's your call.

As for the Bible...a) it contradicts itself in a lot of places and b) it shouldn't always be taken literally (I expect most Christians don't believe Christ literally becomes a vine when he says "I am the living vine", for example). Besides, Paul's letter to the Roman's states that "he who by faith alone is righteous shall live"...God allows for the fact that humans have weaknesses...weaknesses for Accucraft Edrigs, for example...so I'm sure he'll let you off breaking that commandment just this once as long as you have faith... :P

Sorry, I know I shouldn't twist religion in that way...please don't take my comments too seriously ;)

Don't worry MuzTrem, I get this sort of comment all the time at school. The pupils there probely spend more time asking me questions than doing school work  !

As for public transport, parents would support it if 1, some money was actully put into it, and 2, the goverment had paid no attention to Mr Beeching.

I'll have to have a flick through Boyd to see if there are any I like. Wouldn't mind doing a barn actually........

Ps Barn is the term given to the modern wooden stock (100-107)on the FfR to all those who don't know
