The cost of licensing Thomas seems to be an issue in a number of ways - I read that the GlosWarks Railway are the latest line to stop running Thomas events, and they've always gone for those in a pretty big way...

Apologies for the drift-thread and for the, erm, "fruity" language, but I was reminded of this cartoon which I found pretty amusing...

Cheers!

This thread from the National Presevation forum is quite interesting regarding the issues of hosting an event. The third post on the second page, is rather more tongue in cheek but had me chortling to myself.

That's great Jim that post, maybe that could be the character references for an adult version of Thomas & his messed up friends (providing the producers can afford the licence fees).

It would appear that Thomas and his little friends are still going to be available from Bachmann in the larger scale.
According to this months Garden Rail the packaging has had a revamp as well.

(If only I could get myself revamped......)

Ah haven't read the new issue yet but good to know :) Now if we can just get Bachmann to release a G version of their red brake coach, sure it and some red Emily coach bodies would sell nicely enough and poor James does needs a passenger rake to pull instead of orrible trucks :D
On a side note started working on a 3rd class version along with a 2nd class 6-wheeler.
