Iv been doing a little relax modelling projet which I call the MAKE-IT-UP-AS-I-GO-ALONG locomotive project!
basically Iv been slowly building a locomotive out of bits Iv had to hand and havent planned anything ahead.
As you can see Iv kept the electrics simple.
making a vague start on the body with my scroll saw
A steam propelled life-style.

So why don't you buy the parts? You could go to the bank and open an account, pay some cash in (from your job or whatever), you get a debit card with the account, then you can order over the phone or online. Job's a good'un. Flexibility too then.

Well no, but you can get a savings account, I opened mine at 13... I think HSBC, NatWest etc do them.

You get a 'cashcard' my Natwest one is Solo, I can use it in Tesco, garden railway shows, over the internet, most places really.

some places don't accept them, but most places will.
One other thing, where did you get that scroll saw and how much did you pay for it. I could do with something just like that! any chance of an overall view of it?
Thanks,
Paul Wood

I got it from Machinemart, its speed adjustable and I think it was £70 odd.

Thanks for the reply. looks like a handy piece of kit, even if it is a little bulky for my shed (its not that my shed is small, quite the opposite, its just full!)
Thanks,

Hancockshire - nice one, you'll be able to buy your own stuff then!
Paul, pauly's is a much nicer one than mine, better quality and a good name on the side of it
, but I got one that does the job for £30/40 in one of those 'Wolf' machines catalogs.

Although I would only be able to withdraw money from a bank of Scotland machine so until I can get a proper account, my money's staying in a small box(for an M&S meccano set)
