Finally... Pete's Snow Pictures!!!

Well. It SNOWED in West Cornwall today!! I couldn't believe it.
It was a lovely clear day when I woke to go to school. Got in the car, and started towards school. We reached the village, and suddenly, a load of black cloud came over, and within a few minutes, the road had gone completely white, and the road was only visible about 15 meters ahead. Dad thought ah it won't last, so carried on towards Truro. It took us 1.5 hours to do a 15 mile journey into school, which usually takes 40mins on a good day due to the traffic. But today, the traffic was utterly slow, and a lot of it skidded into ditches and failing to climb hills. We took a detour down a steep hilly backroad we know to bypass some of it, and ended up pushing a supercharged Jaguar into the verge as the petrified woman driver couldn't get it down the hill as it was just sliding sideways! Luckily for us, Land Rover Discovery 4 is amazing in snow, can't beat it - that meant we got commandered by Police to help an ambulance up the dual carriageway out of Truro when we had turned back due to a text message from school saying it had now closed! What a wasted nightmare trip.
Oh well, I wasn't complaining. Meant a chance to play trains in the snow!!
But... my gas had frozen when I accidently left it outside from the otherday
*woops*.

No chance of getting up there.
So I got my battery powered Quarry Hunslike out, and attached the plough... By this time, a lot of the snow had melted (as I had been blasting around on the quad bike instead in the morning). However, a big problem was ice on the rail head, had no end of slipping.

Running a limited service...
