If anyones still watching this, then work has continued in the daytime ,leaving evenings for caradoc. All of the concrete that needed to come out has been removed and the hardcore that needs to go in for the shuttered concrete trackbed has been put in
This was taken from the kitchen window

Certainaly was a cool line today, although maybe not so much cool as b****y cold!
So I only got one yard of track laid, before retreating inside to finish caradoc
At some point i'm going to measure my line, i lost count a while ago how long it was

I'd build a large line (I have 2 acres to fill), but for the price of track these days, NO!!!

I was very lucky in that respect, an old friend of my dad had 30 ish yards of Tenmille track that he didn't want, plus some seperate rail and sleepers. He sold it to me for £40! Bargain of the centuary!

When my first article came out in garden rail, a man was so impressed, he gave me a mamod (the red one), 2 coaches, a wagon, and about 10 yards of mamod track
! Plus, I got paid for the article (£15 a page)

Well if you get your own engine you can do whatever you want to them in terms of improvements (still dosn't stop my dad making suggestions of what to do with MY engines!)

It's looking great Chris. How's the work doing at the moment?

T'is going quite well, track has been laid on some of it for when ptlrcecil and friends come round on friday, so that ive got some siding space, and the builders doing the front steps keep on providing me with free building materials

An easy way to sort that out is to keep a loaded 12 bore with you when he tries to make suggestions.
