Eagerly awaiting the link to some more great steam action. Hope photobucket is playing right for you, I found I had to download the 'Fast Video and Webcam Loader' to upload my last videos, but it does convert them OK.

Great Video Graham, I'm glad I was up early to log on and see it.

Nice to see that other stock runs on Mamod track as that is exactly my idea as well.

I've got quite a few of the Big Big Train locos and rolling stock, and a large collection of Faller E-Train as well.

What was the first loco being used, as that was not a Big Big Train item, and also what was the last live steam loco? Looked similar to a Bowman.

You might want to swap the safety valve with the top up valve ;)

When you put water thrugh the top up valve you will be putting a lot into the steam pipe as that is taken off the T ;)

An interesting variation on the standard loco.

Never thought about that configuration so must try it out for comparision.

Did you manage to find the circlip you lost? I always thought if fitted secure these would not fail, and it does not look like there is anything sticking out on your wheels to interfere with the coupling rods. Must have been a one off.

wow, great vid Graham! Its nice to have someone over to run too! You need a few passing loops so you can run 2 trains!

Great video! Your SL1K is probably running better because it only has one set of wheels to turn , and obviously by doing this you loose the second wheelset's power. I wouldn't of thought the position of the top up valve would matter, as even if it does squirt a little in to the valve then presumably you have it closed, and any water is likely to boil while passsing through the super-heating, yet it does look prettier with the S/V at the back  !

Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Yeah i suppose that you will have the valve shut when you pump water in. I imagine you will get some in the valve though, which would cool it down.

I suppose it doesn't matter its just i've always though the safety valve was made to go in there ;)

havent found the clip Chris.I have a problen with dead grass cliping getting on the track and getting caught in the running gear i think that it may be the reason for it comming off. will go to a local car parts store and pick up a few spares :D
