Yup, seen it. Want it. Can't afford it... Although I suspect it will be very cheap for what it is- an Edrig chassis and the kit would come out at a lot less than a Caradoc I suspect, and it's much more detailed- and different.

The only slight reservation I'd have is that the Baldrig kit is very tall- the loco stands noticeably taller than a Caradoc, and Accy locos are pretty chunky as it is. Despite that, if my attempt at scratchbuilding all goes Pete Tong I'll save up and have a go at the XT kit instead.

looks fantastic! Lovely and nicely proportioned- it does look a little big but we really need something to compare it against!

It's a body kit for an Edrig chassis- simply 7/8ths do a variety of Edrig- based kits. I'll try and find a photo of Tag's 16mm Baldrig (standard version, not long tank) with a comparative loco in a bit.

That is very pretty, remove all the costly detailing and you get what Ragleth should of looked like
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

It's super, but like Matt said, it's very tall. Edrig is tall as it is alone, and judging by the height of the cab to the dome (which is higher than the cab spectacle plate as standard Edrig), it's a hell of a large engine. Maybe if the cab was lower, I'd be tempted by the kit.

I think the 7/8ths kits are around the £125 to £150 mark. I imagine this one will be in the region of £175 at the most based on that- considering how much there is in it- loads of fairly complex etchings- that's not bad. Certainly the rest of their kits are pretty good value I feel- look at what 0 gauge kits cost for example.

Couldn't resist a quick play, orange seems to suit it well too :?
The hight of the cab doesn't concern me as my coaches are very tall as well. Interestingly on the note of scale a lawley works out smaller than the WHHR's Gelert

That looks quite nice in DarK Blue.
I think accucraft should release their locos in dark blue as well, not just the usual red or green

May I politely suggest you go to trackshack's website and look at the reservation options for Ragleth? You may be pleasantly surprised...

yeah, but I would rather have a dark blue Edrig really,
but LMS red is OK, cause it should blend in more with my (non-existant) livery sceme :)
