Well today I have almost finished my 3D printed version of Alf.

I still have the seat to paint, the magnets to put in the buffers and a driver to fit, if I can find the one I had in mind for it.

Anyways, here it, I quite like it, but each to their own.

Nope, that's a rub down, prime, rub down and paint one. It actually came out quite well for a non papered one.

Nice work. The battery voltage reminder underneath is a great idea. Beats my method of "forget, then check the loco's records and hope you've recorded it when the loco was built".

The problem I have is that all my loco's have the same power adaptor. After having a few with different voltage and severely cooking one battery, I made the decision to label all loco's with their voltage as part of the painting process. No mistakes since

Recently I've taken to using Graemes method of a couple of brass screws under the loco and croc clips on the charger leads. Saves a lot of space inside the loco as well.

However, labelling the battery info on the bottom is a brilliant yet very simple idea which I shall copy forthwith! Thank you.

Well one good turn deserves another. I have not seen Graeme's brass screw idea, but I can see it in my head and see the space saving advantages. That is something I may well copy too

All my locos are powered with li-ion cells. I use an IMAX B6 charger on its "li-ion auto" setting. It detects how many cells are inside the loco and adjusts the charge accordingly.

Gives a lot more flexibility in positioning as well.

Unfortunately I can't take the credit for the driver. I have a good friend who has painted many of my figures and the detail / natural look he manages to get is well beyond my talents.
