Good morning all,

New on the forum, although i've been following it for about 10 years I'd say.

Short bio:
26 year old from the Netherlands. Startied with live steam last year (Lady Anne). Probably one of a handful people here that use 32mm gauge track.

This presented me with a bit of a challenge. I bought 2 secondhand IOM carriages(four wheelers), which didn't come with their 32mm wheelsets. I spoke to the importer here, and it appears that none of the carriages he has in stock have been supplied with these.

So the question is: What type of wheelset do I need?

Welcome to the forum

Your best bet is to hope someone has some that they are willing to part with. The are a unique fitting so it is very unlikely anything else will fit. If it were me personally I would be looking at adapting what you have there and making a new axle for the wheels. Do you or anyone you know have access to a lathe?

Hi Matthijs
Welcome to the forum.

Normally, Accucraft stock was supplied with both 32mm and 45 mm wheel sets and you'd quite often see people selling off their unwanted wheel sets on eBay. You might find a few people on the forum with spare 32mm wheelsets. According to the Accucraft website, their wheelsets are avilable from Accucraft stockists. You could try contacting Accucraft to find out where some of those might be in relation to the Netherlands.

Thank you for your replies,

Ik will contact Accucraft to inquire about the wheelsets. I hope they're available!

Contrary to my first post, I've got 2 bogie coaches (in dutch we'd say 4 axles instead of 4 wheelers, messed up translating  )
