So I decided to make do with what I had and use this skinny stuff to make a water tube boiler.
This was the idea, although I drew this afterwards. The proportions were supposed to be nicer than this but as you'll see it ended up completely different. Here's the result. I couldn't resist As you can see I kinda failed to bend it correctly, yeah I annealed it and tried to use a handheld pipe bender but I ended up just using a vice.

I haven't tried it yet but I have heard that in the absence of a mandrel, a copper tube may be bent without crushing if it is first filled with sand. (Or maybe it was salt?) Linus Tech Tips did a super sketch budget water-cooler using that method several years back, I'll have to see if I can track that down.

Is that a trumpet mouthpiece? We could probably start a symphony with all of the forumites who play instruments.

Yeah I thought of using sand but I didn't do it for some reason. I'll have to try that next time.

It's a bugle mouthpiece because only my dad knows how to open the broken latches on his trumpet case. I play alto sax and piano.

Ah, bugle! I could never get much sound out of the smaller brass instruments, but played euphonium for a short time. I was mainly alto sax and clarinet throughout school. These days I mostly only play my accordions and harmonicas because my kids aren't as scared of them (and I'm not as scared of my kids wrecking them).

I have a new idea, a triangle design, whatever it's called. The 3 lengths of larger 5/8" tubing are about 4" long. The skinny stuff would be the water tubes and I think there would be seven or eight per side. It's 1/4" diameter. Sharpie for scale. I apologize for the poor quality photos, it's an old phone.
