Steamer for Wood Forming

I have a fair bit of wood to form to a curve and I've been thinking about ways to do it, I have been told if I damage another kettle I'll be in bother, then I thought, ah wall paper stripper but its a wee bitty too big, ah ha a general household steamer thingy might do the trick.

Has anyone else built themselves a small wood steamer, or have any suggestions on a steam device that would give sufficient steam to form 5mm x 8mm < 8mm x 35mm ish bass wood, thanks?

Hi David
The last time I tried steam bending was when I was at school (60 years ago!). However, there's quite a few videos on Youtube which might help.
This one suggests a way of doing it without a steam box

but there are plenty of others - some large scale (eg bending timbers for boats) and some much smaller scale.

That's a really effective technique Rik, and it wouldn't even need to be a steam iron. Making the former looks like the hardest part of that job.
