Oh no! That sounds like a very unwelcome visit. I'm glad nobody was hurt... but it's always sad when our railways have to wait. :sad5:

Sorry to hear your life is being uprooted like this, it's not an easy thing to go through. Pleased to hear nobody was injured though. :thumbright:
May the repairs be swift and of good quality!

Sounds horrific. Perhaps the delivery driver misread his instructions. Instead of leaving the parcel in the porch .......

Following an unwelcome visit by a delivery van, that demolished part of the front of out house, we have been told that we will have to move into temporary rented accommodation for at least 6 months while repairs are carried out.
Fortunately no one was injured in the bizarre incident, but it's made one hell of a mess.
The locomotives and rolling stock have been packed away along with the point components. Track building will be delayed till somewhen in the autumn if not later, so no more progress posts for the time being.
Holy moly, I do hope it all gets sorted quickly but more importantly, no one was injured.

Many thanks to all who responded to my tale of woe.
We were both at home at the time and I am thankful that my wife avoided injury as she was just about to head up the stairs when the van hit, sending plaster and rubble across the hallway.
When the detailed survey report comes in I will see if there is any prospect of getting access to the garden to push the project on.

That sounds awful - glad you're both ok though...

Perhaps a little point/track/rolling stock construction would prove therapeutic while you're in exile? I hope it all goes well.

All the best,

Andrew.
