Accucraft AP19-501 pickup carbon brushes

I have a problem…
I have an electric accucraft RGS 60 that has twin pickup sets for each drive axle . The pickups have twin spring plunger and carbon bullet brush arrangement.
The problem is that some ( in fact all 4 to greater or lesser extent) have worn carbon bullets. This means that there is no electrical pickup from those assemblies.
The full pickup assembly part is AP19-501, $17 for two assemblies, but there are none in stock in US or UK.
Does anyone use a substitute carbon brush to insert in the plunger system?
