Video shot at Brambleton special O gauge running day and BBQ on 30th July 2022

Brambleton hosted a special O gauge running day and BBQ, inviting members from other O gauge clubs and organisations to come and run their stock on our tracks or just to spectate.

Brambleton's tracks are unpowered, so all the loco's you see are self powered by clockwork, battery or steam. The battery loco's typical have remote controls and sound cards, and they sound very realistic.

As part of the event, the WHAG's put on a show of live steam and battery powered rolling stock on our 16mm railway. A small part of the video shows that.

The BBQ was very popular plus tea and coffee were free all day.

Two weeks earlier - O gauge layout at Brambleton Model Railway club action and on 16 July 2022.

Brambleton's tracks are unpowered, so all the loco's you see are self powered by clockwork, battery or steam. The battery loco's typical have remote controls and sound cards, and they sound very realistic. The real steam loco's were powered by Meths or Coal, they can be seen running quite fast around the track.

At the same WHAGS West Herts Area Group 16mm was having a steamup for visitors see separate video for this action.

I was a member in the early 1970s. My, how it has improved in the intervening years. Grass? We had wall-to-wall mud!
