Nice colour! Good finish too...
Thanks Andrew,
I was not at all sure about the shade of green, there was less of a choice than I hoped for in the local Halfords.

I like the colour too Phil, it looks suited to the loco and will work well with further detailing.

The Hunslet progresses through the paint shed. Some faults in rubbing down show through the green but from a normal viewing distance ...
Looking great!

Trevor,
I'm hoping for good weather on Friday and that the charger I ordered yesterday arrives in time to give it a good charge.

Clara has been a bit shy of having her photo taken lately but here are some pictures to show how she is progressing:-

The firebox, boiler and smokebox have been rubbed down after their initial coat of filler primer which I hope will ensure printing marks have been removed. The black detailing parts are more finely printed and needed less sanding. The switch can be seen in the coal bunker, the red wires passing through into the firebox. Two pieces of plastic were glued into the bunker to support a piece of black plastikard which will be covered in coal.
She has had a first spray of the filler primer.

Trefor was driven a bit too fast, derailed and seems to have had his back to back altered!

The trains and the buildings are looking good, but I think you need to practice a bit harder on your backscene painting!

Yes,
I've even got some nice new black cloth somewhere for the tables, to hide the things underneath, but thought warts and all was good. I did slightly regret being against the dark blue cupboard with space rockets, but we were in the Art Room area. I don't think those details affected the enjoyment of those members of the public, young and young at heart, who ran the layout though!

I have done some more work on the Hunslet and took these photos in bright late afternoon sun yesterday

I have some instruments printed for the panel above the control desk, which is missing here. I need advice or a source of suitable controls to mount on the desk before fitting it in place.

Great result there; brilliant bit of work that trestle is, too.
Cambrian's
Simplex detailing pack might be a start for controls?
If it's of any help, here's the vaguely-representative interior I knocked up for my Accy Baguley a few years back. Many of the handles are bent HO/OO track nails. The handbrake wheel is a steering wheel from a 1/24 car kit. I think the larger handles started out as shock absorbers from the car. And the gauges are HO scale oil drums, recessed into the control panels.
