Drivers Eye View of the ANLR 2009

Post by laalratty » Thu Jul 09, 2009 9:40 pm

I filmed the 2009 edition of the Afonglas and Nant Llywyd Railway drivers eye view today. This finally shows the changes made last summer to the upper loop from on the train. The video also starts from the workshop spur, rather then Afonglas station so you can see what going down a 1 in 25 gradient is like. Considering how drivers eye views have always required loads of takes in the past for me, this one went rather well, being done in 2. Urien is also hauling 3 coaches to make it chuff a bit, as well as pushing the ANLR's camera wagon.

Enjoy :D
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

blooming marvelous
Nice to see how some of the railways are set out and how they fit into people's garden

I really should do one of the DVLR but fear that it would last about 30 seconds at most!!!

Comments as per on the vid. I must do a new one of mine since it's a little over twice as long! However, I still have improvements to make etc, so I will wait a little until those are done!

Driver's eye vids are good fun to watch, so you can get a feel of what the whole line looks like!
