Deltang rx-65 question

Posting as a new thread rather than muddy the rx102 thread, but feel free to relocate if more appropriate....
I am in the process of setting up an rx-65 receiver/ESC module with my TX-22 transmitter. I already have my tx-22 bound & setup with my live steam loco (I forget which receiver, but whatever the 'normal' receiver is for live steam with two servos). The live steam loco works perfectly & is bound on selecta position 1. I don't want to change anything on that model!
I have my rx-65 bound in position 3, & the receiver is configured in the 'low-off' mode so that it's operation will be the same as my live steam loco. The direction switch on the transmitter appears to change the direction as required, BUT, the receiver gives full throttle when the throttle control is set to zero (full left), & zero throttle when the control is set to 100% (full right). Seems I need to be able to adjust the PWM duty cycle that the ESC considers as zero, as well as change the direction of the PWM change relative to the knob setting on the transmitter. In RC car/plane world the former would be considered a trim adjustment, but all I can find is the transmitter calibration instructions. Seems this would ruin the setup on my live steam loco if I calibrated the transmitter differently?
I know Rik is our resident Deltang expert, but help from anyone else is appreciated also!
