I'm not a wild enthusiast of diesel locos, but ........... What a beauty! Wow! She looks immaculate.

That Class 27 looks good.

My 5" gauge V200 (nicknamed Taigatrommel) also has several 3d printed parts.

Headlamp housings, brake valves,...

Length over buffers is 1.65m.
Six axle-hung motors and a 24V 300Amp controller give her enough power to pull anything.

Hi,
I must apologize as I should have said at the outset that my 27 was built from a kit a few years ago when I had a bit of spare cash, not printed. It is a Bexhill models one and I am sorry to say the owner Robin Neighbour has passed away after a fight with cancer. He actually delivered the kit personally and stayed and had a cuppa with us. He was a lovely chap. It also looks as though the site has been taken down too.

Ooooohh! This is all so tempting. But I really can't justify a 5" gauge loco ....... can I?

Yes! You can.

Sad to hear about Robin, he was a nice chap. I have built one of his TOAD brake van kits.

here are some photos of the one coach i've printed so far. I must now give a shout out to a guy known as Robertino who very kindly posted the files for it on Thingiverse. I had been looking for a coach to print for ages and then found this one, so I'm extremely grateful to him. As you can see it is a Southern region 1st-3rd corridor coach. I had to print it in four parts and then glue them together. The corridor wall and partitions are from card with the seats hot wired from polystyrene. The roof is balsa with a tissue covering fixed with white glue to represent the canvas roof of the original. The print time was quite long but worth it. I may do some more in the future.

I saw that coach on there and was also tempted. Then I looked at the printing time and I can literally design, laser cut and build one in the same amount of time. Including a full interior. So my bullied dreams remain so. For now......

Hi,
I know it is a huge print time but I can do mine for a fraction of the cost and at my own pace, and for me they turn out just as good. Everything is printed except the tyres and roof.
