Edrig, 68 Axles, Wet Rail

Gag Torton reports a challenge to grip the wet rail at first, and a huge increase in fuel consumption, but is happy with how an Edrig can manage to haul 68 axles around TonyW's railway.

The Garratt and Coal Fired Jack also did it, but they are much heavier locos.

"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

68 axles eh...impressive, but not as impressive as 70 axles behind a Roundhouse Russell (admittedly on dry rail, but with some stiff gradients). Sadly though, I don't have any photographs to prove it... :(

My railway is limited to 10 axil trains under the strict following of the 'light garden railway act' passed after negotions between the manager of the DVLR and the domestic authorities. The railway is also limited to 15 mph!
