Semi-scale BR: Class 73

Emboldened by Andrew’s observation that my garden could be mistaken for Rannoch Moor, rather than wait for bright and cheerful spring weather (and the garden perhaps not looking quite so scruffy), this is (mainly) gloomy February footage of the recently built, semi-scale 73.

It trundles round in a leisurely sort of way, on a route learning trip, I imagine.

With added ‘thrash’.

That just looks and sounds so realistic. Brilliant!

I've said it before but will gladly repeat my enjoyment of watching your locomotives running. They seem to have a solid and convincing presence on your railway, not often recreated in the smaller scales.

Thank you very much Peter! This one is seriously heavy, which has made it a very satisfyingly smooth runner, I think (and gradients no longer exist).

Another superb 'whatif' locomotive, and as Peter says, it looks and sounds 'heavy'. Amazing how you make your locomotives look plausible.

Nice!!!

And a lovely touch that ScotRail repainted Corrour 'box in Southern green to make the new arrival feel at home...

Thanks for the kind comments.

Glad you enjoyed that. I did look it up. It’s painted white and (in normal circumstances) is available to stay in. I’m tempted.
