BTW - The PLR might (I say *might*) get a very brief mention on the BBC Local News programme tomorrow (Friday) night. They contacted me earlier asking me to film a 10 second intro to go with some clips they've taken off YouTube.
I asked for my usual fee ...... ie £0.00

Congratulations Rik,
might there be an opportunity for out-of-area viewers, i.e. most of us, to see it too?
Will you be making a charge for autographs?
I doubt it will make the Late news - that's usually fairly short and only gives main headlines. It'll be the 6.30 programme - and probably towards the end when they do the quirky little items. Don't blink though, it'll probably be no more than about a 20-30 sec filler.
On FreeSat, I can select different regions for BBC coverage. It might be the same for Freview as well.

That's great news Rik --- very well deserving and you make a wonderful "Ambassador of Garden Railways"!

Thanks Rik!
Umm ...whats a "1920's gauge railway"?
Still, a couple of nice shots, although not quite sure how you managed to build ALL of that during lockdown?

No idea - what I sent him was "A narrow gauge railway set in the 1930s ....." Don't believe everything you read or hear on the news.....

I've been in lockdown for the past twelve years ...... is the war over yet?

Yes! We beat the Arge's..
So the Mee-ja have been looking on YouTube for filler 's then?
As for not building it during lockdown..
Have you seen how fast Rik can turn things out?

Congratulations on your 15 seconds of fame Rik!
It may have been brief, but your film looked great, AND you wrestled the headline spot from the dressing up dogs and comedy vegetables...

Ditto exactly what Andrew said --- it may have been short but IMHO it was certainly "ambassador" worthy.

A lady of mature years stopped me in the street yesterday saying "Love your trainset! How big is it?"
I didn't realise my appearance would attract groupies........
