That's really looking good, well done... I'm quite tempted...

Well the electronics are now in an tested, hopefully a short video to follow on my indoor test track (due to poor weather), a tight fit :

Due to perspective it does look like some of the wires touch the wheels etc, but I assure you they don't (but only just) :)

Looking good Jimmy.
My I ask why you chose to use a separate ESC rather than one of the Deltangs with it built into the receiver?

A very tidy job compared to some of mine!
Looking forward to the video.

You took the words out of my mouth - almost in that order as well. In my case substitute 'most' for 'some'

So between the showers I managed to get out for a quick test run:

Even with the weight added, it is quite light and is affected by any unevenness, nut still fun :)

That looks great, and you have a wonderful garden setting for it too!

Really enjoyed following the build and it's great seeing it released into the wild! Looks superb.

Many thanks for all the kind comments, on close inspection there are areas where I "could try harder" but it passes the 6 foot rule and I am happy with it :)

I have just updated my blog, for those wishing to see the full build:

Thanks for detailing your build from start to commissioning run - something I think I am yet to do

Unfortunately, they're no longer in production, and extremely hard to find, anymore.

Consequently, I'll be using the same Rx and ESC combo as Jimmy, in some coming projects; they appear very simple to set up.

Marvelous work, Jim. Must say the blog is really nicely done, too. :thumbright:

Looks very much at home on the railway. I added weight to my Ford railbus with white metal seated figures but they were 1:19. Not sure if there are any suppliers of 1:20.3 seated white metal figures ....

Philip, apologies I missed your question, but Aaron has answered it correctly, also with the Deltang there can be some fiddly soldering, one false slip and it is £60.00 gone, these are pre-wired, and plug and socket.
