discontinued designs

What do you think some manufacturers should have kept
Like- locos, stock, parts, design of parts.
For instance i wish accucraft would stop discontinuing models, like superior and excelsior
And i am sure many will agree with me on roundhouse should keep making the Hunslets.

I think accucraft shouldnt have discontinued the Mortimer and that deisel they had going.

I heared that the diesel was because the mould got broke, I asked Ian Pearse he avoided it by just saying there were still loads available for purchase, I suspect Mortimer didn't sell that well, untill they announced its discontinuation!
I'd like to still be able to buy a Rhoundhouse meths slip eccentric Lady Anne.

I can understand why the discontinued the Excelsior, given the weedy cylinders and naff burner.
I wish they hadn't discontinued the L&B Baldwin, or produced the WD Baldwin as a limited edition.

From what I've seen of Accucraft Superiors, it is a shame that they discontinued them as they always seem to put in a good performance, being very powerfull with reasonable slow running abilities. I think the loss of the Baguley was a bit sad as well. As for Roundhouse, I think that Jack's are much better then the engine that replaced it, Katie. The discontinuing of the Linda/Blanche/Charles is a shame as well.

The Baldwin LYN will be in production again when the L&B coaches are released. Summer 2010

Ithink that RH shouldbring back michael as i thought that one looked really good, and the reason the hunslets are being discontinued is that there just weren't enough orders

Personally I thought Mortimer was far better looking than either Edrig or Caradoc. I can't help wondering if potential customers just went for Edrigs because they were cheaper...
