Welcome to the forum, looking forward to this as I've bought and modified a Millie myself, including lining, paint mods and addition of some little bits and pieces

The cab plans

Post by Dr. Bond of the DVLR » Sun Jun 14, 2009 8:17 pm

Right here are the plans for the cab, minus the back rails/poles.
It was drawn on the computer but came out a little pale so I've drawn over it with biro!. (The lines on the real thing will be neater!)

Thank you very much, I don't like the roundhouse cab it looks odd to me. Also I like to be able to see all the controles and access them easily! So I designed the open backed cab. I shall be adding coal rails and a cab backplate inside the cab on the gas tank with an imitation coal shute to hide the gas tank compleetly. Some strips will be added to the roof top side to side 1 to strengthen and 2 to make it look more GER like!
