Barron Tableland Railway Christmas 2020
Three of us got together at my friend Geof's Barron Tableland Railway to have a Christmas 'test' of his new track arrangements.
If you want more info on the BTR see here...

Geof's railway runs through a very 'rain forestry' garden providing a beautiful backdrop for the trains.
I ran my "Ugly" loco with a snack train of cherries and chocs. Each time the train passed, you had to have a snack.
Mark had his big GM diesel which pulled the Grasslander express and he managed to visit all NINE stations on the line. His train also provided transport for a number of Santas travelling to the stations.
Geof's drop-on body tram style loco
Mosquito Flats covered station in the rain forest.
Unfortunately there was a major collision involving the snack train which resulted in the snacks being scattered all over the track. Both drivers deny any alcohol involvement in ignoring the (non-existent) signals.
Geof's relocated Engine Shed.
We then did justice to a sumptuous morning tea provided by the Railway Refreshment Rooms (Thanks Chris)
A great day - what garden railways and mates are all about.
and of course there is my video..... here...
And Geof's video... here....

Looks like a great time was had by all. Thanks for sharing, Greg ( he says looking out the window at the grey drizzly sky),

Looks like a good time was had by all. Plenty of train action plus food - who could ask for more?

I enjoyed both photos and film, thank you! Personal favourites were the shed scene, and your (very nice) little diesel struggling to start - very impressive sound effects...
It looks like a great line, interesting to operate and very well maintained.
All the best,
Andrew.

I forgot to mention that. Are the expletives from the driver part of the sound effects or 'live'?

The sound system is one of those small TF-type MP3 sound recorders, and one of the tracks is my voice recording. With other tracks of idle and 3 running speeds.

Looks a good time running on an interesting line with a great ambiance. So much great modeling there, too.
