Hello.
Any ideas on how I would make louvre doors the type found on a lot of diesel shunters etc..? I'm modelling using Plasticard or tinplate. Scale 16mm, Thanks.

Re: Louvre Doors
Assuming that you can borrow it from your local library (I know - long shot) Gerald Wingrove's "The Complete Car Modeller 2" on pages 83-84 explains in detail how he produced louvres for his Bugatti.
His model is scaled at 1:15 so roughly comparable to your 16mm scale (1:19).
He makes the body from brass, but that should not be too different from your tinplate?
Can't help you with Plasticard, but I am sure others here will.

Hello.
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for your advice I managed to find some brass ones from 'Garden Railway Specialist' and jolly good they are too.

I've used the louvre mouldings from Cambrian Models for my plasticard builds

Edit: PS Sorry, just seen you've found some at GRS
