Happy New Year to William, and all other members of this forum.

I trust that you have an enjoyable steam up.

Unfortunately I was working away from home on Xmas day so no steam up then, and I'm travelling again on 01 Jan for a few more days work away from home, so no model steam up possible then, however I will be visting the Strathspey Railway on the way to Inverness, so should experience full size steam with a Mince Pie or two.

All the best for 2008.

Chris Cairns.

Adding my good wishes for the new year to you all.

Over here at New Year eve it's firework night.... we have just come in from watching the all fireworks from all the houses in the town 4 km away from where we live- with approx 10,000 inhabitants sending up rockets and firing off rocket batteries, plus all the fireworks from our neighbours around us, it really is amazing... a 1 hour +, 360 degree firework display, and I can still here some going off as I type at 1.50 am ! Mind you it's nothing as spectacular as the fireworks in Edinburgh !
