I’ve been waiting about a year for a slomo to arrive for my kit built lady Anne, so to make up for it I thought I’d film her going up a gradient in slomo!
Filmed on the last run at a mates railway, about 1/2 hour before we ripped all the track up, sad day!

I am a big fan of SSP Slomos as you all know, this video demonstrates why!

The grade is hard to estimate from the perspective in the clip but it seems to bring out the best in the chuff. Care to guess the grade for reference?

I think everyone’s got the wrong end of the stick here, I’m still waiting for the slomo, so I filmed it in slow motion to make myself feel better!

I don’t know the gradient I’m afraid, it’s way steeper than it should be ideally though, I’d have a guess at around 1:30

Haha, well when the device is fitted you will not need to film the loco in slow motion.

I look forward to it, although I’ve got the hang of driving her fairly slowly now it’s not the most relaxing experience, especially on a line with a lot of gradients

Have a go at running your loco like this without a Slomo:
This is what I call "fairly slowly"

I’m fully sold on the idea, just a case of waiting for terry to make me one!

If only we could make our locos sound like that in reality..
