Moderators
Has anyone noticed how many Moderators we have on our Forum….TWO…..
I for one just want to thank them both for an excellent job and service they do for us, bearing in mind that they both do other things, work and running their own locos.
Without them we wouldn’t have such a friendly and helpful Forum like ours, it is a thankless job looking at the threads and posts, but it is a very necessary one for which if we didn’t have, all sorts of rubbish would be on here, and I mean that literary, we would not be able to enjoy our hobby like we do.
THANK YOU Big Jim and laalratty for all that you do….
Also Tom for putting to-gather this Forum, without whom it wouldn’t be….

Re: Moderators
Agreed, a big thankyou to those who keep this grand forum on the rails.
Re: Moderators
Agreed. Generally most people are quick to complain and moan, but slow or never thank or praise others.
Big thanks from me too.

Thank You,
Glad to be of service.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
Re: Moderators
Yes - well done the 3 of you - its a nice place to be our forum!
We are a friendly lot ......I have to say that on certain Facebook groups, it can get a bit "10.59pm on a Friday night in a local boozer I used to frequent in Yorkshire" -- always a fight brewing up
The mods on there need boxing gloves to keep order - LOL

Re: Moderators
We are indeed a friendly and supportive group of like-minded individuals, each with ideas and opinions, which some express more strongly than others, but all of which are treated with respect and consideration for others. I have no personal contact with Lalratty or Tom but have every confidence in their ability to maintain stability in the Forum. As for Jim, I have known him for years and how he got there is a mystery? ..... Oh no, I remember now, I proposed him!.... Yes, he is doing a great job too with his experience of real-life personnel skills and more recent 'calling', I agree that we have a fine team of Mods who will keep us in line for many years to come. (Mines a single malt Jim!).
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?
Re: Moderators
Thanks very much, all of your kind words are much appreciated here!
I've got to say that all of the contributors on here make moderation very easy, so thanks to you all. I can't remember the last time I had to intervene in an argument or suchlike, it was many years ago!
Now back to reading all of todays posts.

"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

Re: Moderators
You have my thanks too gentlemen.
Despite your modesty, this wonderful placed simply wouldn't be anything without you're input and gentle steering.

I buy a newspaper to read in the day and curl up in a chair with this forum in the evening. Three guesses which gives me the most pleasure. The newspapers can be so depressing.
Moderators keep up the good work and members keep the posts coming.
