Old Jokes
Old Jokes
Prompted by the mention of weaselly and stoatally in Peter's railway thread, I was reminded of another old joke that used to set my youngest daughter into fits of giggles. Out of respect for Peter's thread, I thought it best to post it in a separate thread.
A man walks into a restaurant, and having looked at the menu, he asks the waiter for the steak and Kidley Pie.
The waiter said "Did you mean Steak and Kidney, Sir?"
To which the man said "That's what I said, Diddle I?"

Re: Old Jokes
I guess you'll need to be Irish for that to understand.. Am I right?
"En schöne Gruess" from an Alpine railway in Holland.
Re: Old Jokes
Got to agree with Tom, Phil. I don’t get it and I am half Irish….

Re: Old Jokes
I thought of the kiddly pie joke when I saw the thread title.
That joke is and was still favourite here, the trick is how you tell it...if you say Kidd Lee pie and then do the reply in an angry voice "That's what I said (pause) diddle I" ??!!
We also loved A man goes into a chemist and asks for some green soap, the assistant says sorry we only have yellow. Dont worry says the man I've got my bike outside...
Nobody gets it as there's nothing to get but if you wet yourself laughing at the end you can confuse people for ages repeating it.....

Re: Old Jokes
I have to explain most jokes to my eldest daughter. She just says "I don't get it". I don't tell her any now. They're not as funny when you have to explain them.

I am very sorry, I mustn’t have much of a sense of humour….I just don’t get any of these at all
The old jokes that the old time comedians told were and are far funnier then those that are told by todays comedians, they are always shouting and swearing to get their’s to be so called funny…each to their own I suppose.
And no I can’t tell a joke for the life of me, I just have never had the ability to remember them
