It works lights very bright on the video and I need to find a different power surply for the motor that turns the spinging part .it's a old hornby train power pack I bought from a junk shop for 8 pounds and it's not that great it gets very hot .I will change this for some think more reliable. The motor is a model boat motor and should work on a min of 4.7 volts

With that light in your garden you will be safe from ships grounding near your house.

The door is a little small for the scale but I think it looks right and after looking a pictures of light houses they had quite small doors anyway

Nice! Are you going for a traditional striped paint job?

Andrew I'm unsure how to paint it .after studying lots of pictures .I think I'm going to paint a small red bit at the top and then gray and white stripes

Agreed Jim, that does look so much better without the slimmer top section.

Much better without the narrow bit. Looks just the ticket now, just needs the accustomed paint job. I used to know what the various banding schemes meant on light houses, but it is a long time since that was necessary information as I probably have not been sailing in 30 years.

Cheers,

After looking at a lot of pictures. I went for Gray stripes in the end .well I had some gray paint in the workshop at work too so that helped decide a bit too. Now to paint the windows door wire it up .then it can go outside

The colour has transformed it Jim, I like it understated with grey as it would be a much more dominant item in strong colours. I hope your neighbours enjoy the sweeping lights passing by their windows!

I agree with Peter, Jim. The colours are great. The way you have approached this build is a work of art, you should be very proud mate.

Very well done Jim.
