I went on the 16mm association website, and I found out that Peter Jones is dead.

I never meet him, but I was very impressed by his railway the Compton Down Railway, which had working mines, steelworks, quarrys, you name it. There is a link to the website on the 16mm association links page.
Garden Railways-best hobby in the world.

I'm reading his loco building book, and to a beginner he certainly makes you feel as though you will manage to build a loco and is very warm in this respect.

Long may his legacy live.
