Re: Peckforton sawmill
Will you have to alter your computer program that allocates wagons now that you have 2 new industries at sawmill and watermill?

Good question, Greg and easily answered. Each wagon is assigned destinations and so I can adjust which wagons go to Peckforton or to the mill siding quite readily - just change a couple of numbers on each wagon 'card'. One day, I will add a siding to a sandpit and quarry (the area has had both in the past). Again, this will be an easy adjustment - just adding another location 'card' and then assign wagons to the new destination.
For those who have no idea what we're talking about - here's a link to info about my freight handling computer program - https://riksrailway.blogspot.com/2015/0 ... puter.html

I love that system you have Rik - adds a real sense of realism to the railway and its operation - I need to add more sidings to my line to get anywhere near - I do have a random element in my goods trains as to which wagon I remove from the consist at the other end of the line for the goods shed - as its that simple, I just use a dice but I would love to move to a more realistic scenario like you use
Where did I put that uncoupler?

How about a vinegar lake too, then you can supply all of the local chippies? Just imagine the railway traffic generated by such an enterprise!
