Captain Plod was most pleased. The Llewellyn Locomotive Works # 1 ran for two sessions on Saturday the 4th November 2023.The steam raising fan problem sorted. (Slow for the Kero burn for 2 mins and then faster for the Charcoal cook up) First run was 1 hour 15 mins, light engine and also with a small train. At times Plod got bored, so he added some lumps of Gunnedah on top of the Welsh Grains so all the neighbours could smell that Plod was having fun. Second run was 10 mins to lift the safety and then 3 mins shy of two hours of moving time. Plod later added more axles for a total of 16 on the hook. One day the video production will be improved, one day.....

Plod made a new grate as the other one which was to a published design has obstructions which is not ideal, for ash build up and unable to rake it out while in steam.

Plod got 5 hours steaming with the new grate. Water pump working. RC fire door stops the blowing off. Refill the lubricator 3 times while in steam.

Plod mostly used Welsh Plutonium however the use of Gunnedah special effects clag uranium lumps clogs it all up after 5 hours.

Plod has hard wired the head light and it fitting a hard wired cab light. It was a difficult job for his cranium to cope with but he survived.

Plod has a new CD/radio for the Red Room workshop at the Llewellyn Locomotive Works.
A bit of Nick Cave, Mike Oldfield, John Lee Hooker and others got a spin.

Plod is soon to work on the final project which is to replaced the SLR Models battery lamp with a hard wired LED.
Then it will be onto contemplating painting the loco which is for a metal worker is a project loaded with dread.

Clever way to hide the wiring for the lamp.

Plod went up stairs holding two books and said to MAM "it is time" She looked a bit puzzled for a moment, even a look of alarm for what this might lead to, and then she had a smile of relief.

Thank you. As always if you are down under call in. We are back in Wales again this year as I am doing 5 weeks at the FFRWHR and do my best to get passed out as a fireman on the WHR.

Thankyou. You will have to come around for a afternoon and evening session on the POR before we go to Wales.
