Liveries

Hello Folks,
I was wondering if you'd be willing to share examples of your coach and locomotive liveries, if you're line has a "corporate" colour scheme as it were. I'm thinking of going Oxford blue for my locomotives and not sure what coach livery would work with that - some examples of what you've all done would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

I Tend to Light Brunswick Green with Cream Panels for coaching stock and Halfords Grey Primer for goods wagons. Of course there is an exception - the trio of Perfect World Tallylyn coaches are varnished ( I couldn't bring myself to paint over that lovely mahogany wood).

If your locos are getting painted dark blue, just don't forget to paint their cab roofs white!!
George England painted their engines dark blue as a standard colour, I like that and other pre grouping liveries like secr and furness railway colours, on the full size there was once an engine painted
tartan!!!!

I seem to have a bit of a corporate livery. It just happened for some strange reason.
Most of my coaching stock is dark green with black roofs and framing detail.
Most wagons are red oxide and black.
Diesel locos are dark blue with wasp stripes.
None of the steamers are the same but I do have a liking for black with wasp stripes.

The PMR blue livery,
The IP Jessie has been well weathered but it did start of this colour.
PMR passenger green with black lining.
Freight livery of red oxide and black.
Livery is probably to kind a word, I just lack the imagination to paint them in any other colour. Plus there is the benefit of the current wife not noticing the model only the colour so I may save myself some GBH of the ear holes...

I am hoping to add more four wheel Ffestiniog style coaching stock but who knows what colour they might end up?

Started a paint scheme for my coaches very (very!) loosely based on the Lancashire and Yorkshire railway colours.
Being pulled by my Ragleth
Being pulled by a very clean Feanor (who has since been heavily weathered)
Being pulled by my very first engine, a trusty burgundy MMS (which is now a matt black engine)

I love the odd and strange locomotives you have made. I also see that your railway is prepared to deal with a possible attack of a grown whelsh dragon, seen the funeral wagon..
Also the names of the locomotives are brilliant.. Thanks for sharing!

The Skebawn and Castleknox's livery is:
Independent Days:
Locomotives green (shade varies) with black frames; Passenger stock originally varnished oak, later "like L&NWR;" goods stock - mid grey. Things like lining disappeared over time as the line got more and more strapped for cash.
GSR era:
Locomotives dark grey; Passenger stock "Purple Lake" later "Crimson Lake;" Goods stock grey.

Liveries, yes...
Blue, yes. White rooves, double yes.
As to carriages - teak and dark blue go very well but I like olive green and cream for carriages. I did try with teak but when building kits it is easy to get glue on the wood components which shows up under the varnish.
It is quite difficult to get a photo of a string of the carriages on my tiny railway (I tend to run with only one carriage and the rest wagons anyway)

Nice to hear from you Zach!
I like the last shot of your coaches, could be the real thing.

Thanks Tom, Sorry I've been a little quiet of late - I had a couple of deadline crises in a row followed by a May Ball to build things for...
