Nonaim Tramway
Re: Nonaim Tramway
Lovely track laying there Dwyane. I can't tell whether the track came before the landscape or vice versa. It all looks very natural and a lovely track formation.

Thanks gents. When I stumbled onto this forum I was hooked on how ya'll do your layouts in the UK. I'm striving towards a facsimile of that approach here with a North American flair.
Americam large scalers tend to lean towards the bigger is better approach which has never appealed to me. Seriously, if I desired running big six axle freight engines on a model railroad I'd do it in N-scale. Just doesn't make sense to me even though I have a 1/2 acre lot I could use. Seeing what ya'll do with diminutive lokies and small gardens holds much appeal to me. You guys give me inspiration for the hobby.

Yesterday was spent building a bridge for the NT. The posed critter is still under modification...

Oh yes, I like that Dwayne. It captures exactly the character of your line. Lovely job.

Thank you Andrew. It's coming along slowly. My job, taking care of two dogs and five chickens, other hobbies (cafe racer motorcycles), maintaining the lawn and trying to keep it alive during our current drought and life in general keeps the NT growing at a snails pace. But then again, it is a hobby to be played at as time permits.Soar Valley Light wrote: ↑Sun Jul 02, 2017 8:41 pm Oh yes, I like that Dwayne. It captures exactly the character of your line. Re: Nonaim Tramway
Thanks. I've said it before but you guys give me much inspiration with ya'lls railways.
Re: Nonaim Tramway
Nice bridge, something about a bridge on a curve. Growth around the railway is taking hold quickly too. Much watering in the evening I suspect.

Like Grant, I think a bridge on a curve looks great and the bridge naturally sits into the environment

Great looking trestle, Dwayne. Nice to hear that our efforts over here are appreciated over there.
Thanks for your inspiration with handmade track. Looks like we've got a bit of two-way trade going on.

Yes. We went 40 days without a drop of rain until this past weekend when we got about 1 inch. Normal rainfall for June is about 5 inches.

Rik, your website and updates were bookmarked long ago for reference.

How's this? My little Accucraft Ida. To be honest, although I occasionally like to run her, I'm not a big live steam enthusiast. I lean towards the ease of running my battery powered equipment that allows for operations.tom_tom_go wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2017 12:17 pm A live steamer on that trestle would look brilliant Dwayne

Re: Nonaim Tramway
I must admit, since owning an electric loco it now get's the most use as it is quick to get running with it after a day at work or late evening.
Thanks for sharing the photo, I can imagine the prototype belching out black clagg on a bridge like that not so long ago
