Traded for these two cars today, what color should I repaint
I traded off some of my larger G scale freight cars at the local shop today, and picked up these two LGB personal cars from their toy train series. I think with a respray they would make nice cars to haul my peat bog workers back and forth to work. But what color should I use to tone these things down and be less toy like? Mike

If you spray everything, inside and out, with a grey plastic primer first then you can see which areas should have a top coat of your chosen colour and which can remain. Probably the interior would be left unfinished for workmen?
The wooden slatted seats will make a huge difference to the overall appearance too.
Remember the wear and tear on the floor where the workers boots have scraped the paint away.

I could trim those to be square corners and sand down the remaining cast in detail with my dremel tool and a cut off wheel. I agree the the curtains are to much for worker cars. I will look at our local home center for some Maroon paint, should I leave the roof white or go with a darker color? Mike
