Welcome Palmerston,

The Taliesin's must be the prettiest engines that Roundhouse currently produce.

Just out of curiosity, did your car tx come with a steel strap fitted around the regulator wheel? My Katie's transmitter has this :?

Yes, it has. I don't like holding the trottle for direction of travel, maybe disconnect the spring as the lever should be full for- or backward.

I am tempted to open up my tx to remove the spring on the trigger.

Although I have found you can set the controls how you want them, then switch the tx off. Of course make sure you set them to how they were when turning the tx back on again!

I did open the same Tx which came with Criccieth Castle. Removing the spring of the wheel needs soldering! Trottle is easy. I don't like to run my (expensive) modells with the Tx shutt off!

Great loco indeed :D
I've got a good way of holding the trigger over without removeing the spring. Just get a lego 6 block, and wedge the trigger in the required direction. I've done this when running lady Anne, and because of the 2.4Ghz, if I leave it in the middle of the garden, with the trigger held over and the regulator opened to the required amount, I get hands free running. Not good if running 2 trains mind  Which brings me to another thing, I can't turn my transmitter off whislt running, as it shuts the regulator and puts the engine in mid gear, because of the "fail safe" in the Tx, so I wonder why MTA's does not have this system? :?
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

I haven't touched the failsafe button! Maybe they did it at Roundhouse whilst testing the loco...

Nice video. The rolling stock looks a bit to big for it though.
Garden Railways-best hobby in the world.
