I really want one of these. I was sold after watching Hambleden Valley for many hours.
I did read somewhere though that after fitting you won't be able to re-gauge it to 45mm if the loco has insulated wheelsets. Presumably that's because the body of the slomo sits between the middle axle?

The locos on that layout are great. The Lady Anne conversion is quite extreme though and involved placing the slomo under the cab which would not work on a Silver Lady (see the comments on the video below):

You can go between 32mm and 45mm, you just cannot use insulated wheels:

Thanks. I knew I'd read something about it somewhere! This is all a bit of a learning curve for me at the moment.

My Lady Anne does have insulated wheels. It's not beyond the realms of possibility to change that though, because although my garden layout is 45mm there is no track power. I converted all the electric locos to battery power.

My SL came with insulated wheels so if the Lady Anne version can be fitted then I will replace the wheels while fitting the slomo:

Terry has updated the info on his site for the Lady Anne version which should be ready around March 2017.

Slomo works with insulated wheels when gauged for 45mm track. Its only 32mm track that requires non insulated wheels

That is Terry testing the production version of the slomo, not mine unfortunately!

I should have mine in the post soon once it is ready and then will see if it will fit Silver Lady as well as my Riverdale Amy.

Will post once I have it, cannot wait to lose the inertia wagon and having locos running realistic by themselves!

I've wondered about this point as well, and have noticed rod slop on a couple of Slomo videos. Of course the locos may have been worn before the Slomo was fitted. I always bush roundhouse rods from new with K&S brass 2.2mm long, which apart from giving a wider bearing surface also provides an easy method of replacement in the event of wear, though that hasn't occurred yet. My oldest loco, the Hunslet has had two axle box bushes replaced after 9 years on ground level track, and as a matter of course new rod bushes. Bushing would need to be done from new, as it's a simple matter to open up the existing holes and there's not a lot of metal in that area.
