Brandbright returns!

Post by paullad1984 » Fri Oct 28, 2016 10:20 am

So a new owner has been found for Brandbright, I hope this means some long hoped for items will eventually find they're way onto the market I.E the Campbeltown and Machrihanish coaches....

The new owner is an Andrew Bell.  http://www.brandbright.co.uk

Wasn't Andel Models run by an Andrew Bell? Coincidence?

Edit: yes, looks like a coincidence, according to comment on FB.

Be interesting to see if all the guys selling coach kits on eBay still keep trying to get silly prices for them. Lol

I wasn't trying to sell any, but I was hoarding a couple somewhat gloatingly to build in the future. I guess I needn't have bothered.

Good news anyway. I love Brandbright kits.

Same! I've always used them for rolling stock parts too so I can resupply soon! :-)

I hope they finish the redevelopment of some of the older kits (eg FR carriage 19/20)...
But good news regardless! Can't wait to see them again! Wouldn't be 16mm without Brandbright

Spoke to this Andrew Bell at Exeter. He says Brandbright may not be back in time for Chrismas but definitely in time for the AGM and to keep an eye on the website. Seems a nice chap!

I bought three 4 wheeler coaches from them with loads of add on stuff soon after I started 16mm but soon decided to opt for all bogie passenger stock so this was an easy excuse for leaving them in my overloaded 'to do' box. Was hoping to get a good price for them though after the unfortunate closure of the business.
This is still very good news.

Just seen this, its great news, the name brandbright and 16mm scale seem to go hand in hand. And its great to see the name return, the new owner has a great reputation, and high standards to live upto :)

Does anyone know if Andrew is bringing back all of the couplings and castings?
