Festiniog loco liveries: 1920s and beyond

Post by JMORG » Sat Oct 08, 2016 12:43 pm

Just doing a little bit of research into the liveries of the FR after Col Stephens took over and during the "rainbow" era.
The Welsh Highland liveries are accounted for but I can only find confirmed records of two locomotives: Welsh Pony in "crystal palace" blue and later green and Princess in black. I've also read that Taliesin (ex Livingston Thompson) was green but no records support this.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

I have seen a colour photo of taliesin (livingstone thompson) in the 1950s painted dark green, its at the beginning of narrow gauge adventure by Peter Kazer
