Hi Folks,

Our wonderful Roundhouse Engineering Darjeeling 'D' Class Garratt has been out on location again, this time to the fantastic Sandwell Valley Railway. Many thanks to Keith Edwards for hosting us at his beautiful garden railway.

Nicely co-ordinated with the music - though I don't remember the dog-bark solo in the original by Ludwig about half way through

Steam and Beethoven's ninth combined..... what a delight!
I am overcome with emotion. My favourite classical piece of music, well performed, and shown with beautiful supporting engineering, who could ask for more...... ME!!!!!..... I must now go out and play some of my (several) recordings of the ninth (loudly) whilst playing trains, although the Berlin Philharmonic, under Karajan, is still my first choice.
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?
