POLL: Naming my new line??

Post by -steves- » Wed May 11, 2016 9:17 am

Following on from my post about my start of my build regarding my first garden railway with no name, a separate post has been raised out of that post regarding the naming of the railway. So I have put up a poll and suggestion for the name of the railway.

Suggestions are very welcome as its been really interesting how people have come up with ideas to name their own lines.

If a few people agree with a new suggestion, I will add that to the poll as an option.

Many thanks
Steve

Well, it looks like its most likely going to be the Ditton Meadow Light Railway. DMLR. That means I can have a Granchester station or any of the famous little places round here, lol :D

Thank you for everyones input :D

DMLR sounds good to me.
While I like the idea of the Gog Magog railway. I don't know if naming a railway after a pair of mythical barbarians is quite right or is it named for the hills near Cambridge?

Gog Magog is indeed the hill just outside of Cambridge, its one that I cycle up now and again, great view but not easy to cycle up for me personally as its a bit long and steep.
