If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
He was the chap who told me, after an enquiry, that he was working on something similar to what I wanted and would I mind him sending some samples for comment when ready. After emailing him a few times asking for a progress report I gave up.MDLR:115645 wrote:DON'T go to Blackham transfers - he should be treated like the late Tom Cooper - buy it if you see it on the stand!
Go to http://www.davidbaileydesign.co.uk/trans.html then "15mm/16mm", about 2/3rds way down the page.
Superb quality.

I recomend John Peck precision decals. http://www.precisionlabels.com/
He will print whatever you want - just send him a pdf and he'll print it onto decal film with a 'by return' service.
I have had quite a few done by John and its been very successful.

I have tried print your own and had a bit of success. The problem is as has been pointed out the white.
Using white decal paper is one way of doing it but if the whole letter is white the cutting out is a bit to much like watch making for me!
Oh Letraset, where are you now!

Don't print in white. If you're trying to replicate old lettering on a well worn and used piece of equipment, print in very light grey, or very light shade of the colour it will be placed over. Then it will look like an old and faded marking.ikcdab:116264 wrote:Yes but that's difficult if you want white.....flying scotsman:116248 wrote:You can buy decal film yourself and print your own decals.
