Loco number plates.

I use to use two part sculpting putty to modify miniature figures and sometimes to entirely create custom fantasy wargaming figures, so I was wondering how it would go if I was to use my hopefully unrusty skills to make loco number plates. Has anybody tried doing this?
I would only be making single digit plates like this one......
......, but more likely either oval or round. I used to sculpt things like belt buckles and broaches on miniature figures that were only 28mm tall so a numberplate shouldn't be out of bounds.
