I took that video on Saturday, Blanche has recently had a new blast pipe fitted and sounds much different.

I also took this photo on Sunday of Merddin at the same spot, I've pressed the shutter too early, but as the location is right next to my house I needn't worry about not being able to get it again!

Blimey, have the shearings specials become too much for Taliesin? Noticed on the vid that the train was well over 8 coaches! Nic pic and video by the way :D (still think Merddin is making too much noise to really tell the difference in Rickets blast)

Yep, very heavy, the Blanche failed last weekend because it was just too heavy and drunk the water, problem with seperating the noises is that they are quite similar now!

Must be good, if only the summer showed a similar increase in traffic, daresay i'll notice the difference straight away next time im down (looks likely to be June)
How many did they try hanging behind ricket to make it run out of water!!

Just the 8 carr limit, but it was packed solid, silly thing is the next day was wet, windy so they only set two carrs behind the David Lloyd George!

Blanche sounds very good there 8) Two of my favourite engines there :D I was on the train the other week with Blanche when she 'failed to proceed' (quote from Rolls Royce) at Rhiw Goch due to low water. I'll try to see her running again soon :D

Oh yes, diffenet difference there! Which mark of blast pipe was that then? Although that load seemed a bit risky considering it ran out of water a couple of weeks back. BTW a lot better with the tree gone for taking videos!
