I have seen some stunning finishes in pictures of your models.
What types of paint are people using for metal, wood resin etc?
Do you spray or brush?

Halfords car cans work a treat too. :D
I asked Roundhouse the same question for their kits and they said
"You can use the aerosol paints sold by car accessory shops and available in a wide range of colours.
The important thing is to use the correct base which needs to be an etch primer on brass or copper.
It is not necessary to use heat resistant paint although high temperature black is available from the same shops, as used on car engines, and can be used on the smokebox if you prefer."
